t o u c h is an excerpt from Chicago-based printer and publisher Matt Davis (Perfectly Acceptable Press)’s project Shareware. Shareware is a series of digital collage works derived from late 80s and early 90s computer clipart distributed through Usenet discussion boards. The clipart was drawn by hobbyists who would post their work for free, often without any indication of authorship. Their drawings would later get recombined into shareware clipart collections and sold for a price. Davis’s project continues this tradition.
